This document is a basic description on how to connect to the network and basic chatting. Look at the documentation page for additional info pages at a later time.

To connect, download the client of your choice and configure a new network named ECNet. Once you have done this, edit the available servers. The list of servers should simply has irc.ecnet.org, over port 6667. Once this is done, go ahead and setup your nicknames etc and hit connect.

To join a channel, type /join #channelname. To send a message type /privmsg nicktosendto. Should you need to change your nickname, simply type /nick newname. Be sure to remember, nicknames can't have spaces. If you need additional help, join channel #ecnet.
